In canada, specificaly in Quebec, where we speak french we call them: collants for thights and bas-de-nylon for pantyhose

In Italian and French Pantyhose is Collant (meaning to glue to skin).
Stockings are Calze in Italian, Bas in French.

In romanian pantyhose are called dresuri or ciorapi de damă ciorapi meaning stockings or socks and damă meaning woman. Some refer to them as colanţi but this is a term that also defines leggings.

in france, we say "collant" for pantyhose and "bas" for tights
des collants noirs en nylon = black nylon pantyhose
pantyhose face = un collant sur le visage Wink

Some also uses the "lycra" term to define a variety of pantyhose.
